A plastic screed is an extremely useful thing in the household. If you wish, you can find a hundred and one uses for it! But many citizens naively believe that these fasteners are disposable and cannot be unfastened. After all, they are made of plastic. Actually it is not. If desired, the screed can be unfastened and later used for your needs.
To be fair, the inventor and manufacturers of plastic zip ties really intended them to be disposable. However, this does not prevent us from unfastening and using them again. This task does not even require strong male hands. All we need is a little dexterity, as well as a toothpick, a massive needle, or any other similar item.
The whole secret of the ties lies in their fastening mechanism. The point is that this is a simple lock that fixes the entire system by sticking teeth in the lock itself and on the tie tape. The screed does not stretch on its own just because the lock ring is very tight, which is why it only works “for entry” and never works “for exit”.

However, this can be corrected. Gently insert our toothpick or needle into the fastener lock so that you can stick out the pressure ring. Having done this, we will separate the teeth that interlock with each other in different directions and allow the strip of the clamp to come out in the opposite direction. Just two simple movements and the tie is undone! It remains only to slightly correct the previously bent lock and the clasp is ready for new labor exploits.
