Good day to all, dear subscribers and guests of the channel!

In my opinion, a drill is one of the most important and necessary tools that every home craftsman should have. Until I got a drill, I often had to run to friends, relatives, neighbors and ask for a tool for temporary use. I got tired of it, and I finally bought a good, solid drill.

Soon I ran into another problem: I constantly lost the key to the drill. I had to spend a lot of time to remember where I could put it, to examine all possible places for its location. Sometimes the key was lost forever, and I was forced to go to the market for a new one.
Now you will never lose the key to the drill! A simple but ingenious trick

After another search, I decided that this could not continue. I solved the problem in one simple and tricky way, which I will share with you today. Do you want to forget about the problem of losing a key for a drill forever? Read the article carefully.

Surely some will say that you can simply tie the key to the cord of the drill. I confess that this is exactly what I did the first time. But this method has several disadvantages.

  • Firstly, the electrical tape is not eternal, so I had to regularly change it to a new one.
  • Secondly, from repeated bends, the strands in the wire through which the current flows can break. I hope you understand what such a breakdown will lead to? At best, a short circuit. At worst - to a strong electric shock.

So I started using a different method. At the moment, I have not identified a single flaw, which makes me very happy. Here is what I did:

  • 1. I took a 3.5 mm metal drill and drilled a through hole in the key. I advise you to make a hole closer to the handle of the key - it is more convenient and practical.
  • 2. I took a steel ring. I took it off a bunch of old keys that I haven't used in a long time. You can buy a new ring in the store or unhook it from the key fob.
  • 3. I passed the key and the drill wire into a ring. I advise you to squeeze the ring tighter so that it does not hang on the wire. It's more comfortable for me. You can do it your way. The main thing is convenience.

I've been keeping the drill key like this for a long time. I will tell you that it is very practical. For all the time of using the method, the key has never disappeared anywhere. When I twist or unscrew the drill chuck, the ring does not interfere in any way. It is between the fingers and does not cause inconvenience.

In addition, with this method, the wire does not bend much.
