My favorite garden flowers - it daylilies. What I love them? There are many reasons, the main difficult to call, but still:
- For abundant flowering. In July, when the peak flowering daylily comes away from the garden do not want at all. And let every little lily lasts only one day, an abundance of flowers and buds, ready about to be dismissed, it does not allow to move away from them for a minute.
- For a variety of colors. The colors of daylilies is bright and muted, gentle and challenging, consisting of one or more colors. Coloristic range of plants is diverse: from cream through the entire color spectrum - to a dark, almost black. Yellow, red orange, pink and many other elegant flowers are able to quickly and easily ever to win the heart of any lover of flowers.
- In addition to the colors as there are no similar plants on the growth and shape of the flower. Small fillets kinds of daylilies reach 20-30 cm in height, but hit its magnificence and bright colors. A flowering daylilies that grow up to six meters, the garden looks like aliens from another planet. As for the form of the flower stalk, the nature and breeders "come off" on daylilies in full program and created a royal, sometimes exotic specimens with smooth and corrugated petals.
- And most importantly, because of their simplicity, the minimum requirements for care and resistance to difficult weather conditions, soil and even irregular watering. Bush daylily planted in the fall, the next year you can enjoy its charming flowering is still 1 or 2 buds. After a few years the young plant will turn into a "beautiful swan", that is a bush with enchanting and with nothing comparable flowering.
How do I care for flowers
All your daylilies I conventionally divided "cultural" and "simple". "Simple," the plant quite unpretentious, they are all familiar and widely growing in many gardens and parks. Expanding such bushes drown all the plants around, including malignant weeds.
But still the main task of daylily - decoration garden plot. Modern "cultural" plant varieties are also very easy to care for, but require a little more attention to themselves, study methods of farming practices, as well as love, than their ordinary counterparts. They prefer sunny areas with a small penumbra, the soil is suitable for them all, except for heavy and wet. Plant out plants can be 8-10 years. Powerful root daylilies can receive moisture from great depths, so water them can be rare, but abundant.
Hemerocallis looks great in single landings, in groups and with their fellows, as well as other decorative flowers such as irises, peonies, phlox and dahlias.
