Many believe that in Japan, robots everywhere. To find out whether this is so in fact I went to Tokyo.

The question is, what is considered a robot.
Indeed, in many cases, machines replaced men. For example, in the dining room instead of a cashier - machine, which has buttons with the names of dishes and prices. Choose dishes, insert money into the bill acceptor (by the way, no, he does not accept the card) to pay for, you get a voucher and you give him food.

The conductor in the bus replaces the machine that first transfer any paper money on fines, and then takes the fare. Bank cards and then not used.

The huge number of machines with drinks streets. They say they are more than the country's inhabitants. There are even machines of the brand here. ;)

Yurikamome train lineConnecting Tokyo and the artificial island of Odaiba run automatically. No drivers.

At the same time there is a huge number of seemingly completely useless occupations. Near each building, road repair or lining of communications should definitely people (or even two or three) that simply show passers-by that the construction need to get (and they do not see).

In the subway at each station is worth a few people who just follow the departure of trains and show the engineer that everything is in order and you can go.

I even saw a man standing at a traffic light for pedestrians, and shows that you can go when the green light comes on. :)

But humanoid robots on the streets do not go and see them, you can except at exhibitions or in individual stores, as entertainment for customers.
