For one, I examine homemade extension cord, bought in Auchan. What I saw inside, it horrified me.
Wires are soldered, not zaklopany, but simply inserted into the slot of the contact strips and bent.
If you pull the cord, it can be easily removed.
In such a construction can in principle be of good contact and with substantial load connection point will necessarily be heated and possibly spark start.
Extension cords must be made of self-extinguishing plastic. I tried to set fire to the body extension. Excellent burns with a blue flame!
On the packaging is not specified maximum power or maximum current. There are places where you can put a check but it is not supplied.
On the extension housing is squeezed out "MAX 2500W" and "10A". Wire and there tonyusenkoy miracle compound "on snot." Under load 2500W, this extender can easily cause a fire.
Interestingly, a lot of apartments have already burned down due to such extension?

upd.: Another photo labels, so that no one doubted that it was done in Russia.
With regard to certification. Surely, a copy of the certificate has been received, the wires were soldered. And then we decided that, and so will descend.
upd.2: A closer look at the contact strips revealed a hole for the screw terminals. Perhaps those extension cords that are surrendered for certification, the wires were fastened to these holes.
upd.3: measuring the thickness of the wires. If all ten lived tightly twist, it turns a diameter of 0.8 mm. This section 2x0.5 mm. If caliper measured per strand, shows 0.18 mm. Lived 10. Total, according to shtanentsirkulyu, the section just simply 2x0.25 mm, the maximum current through a wire - 2.5 A, maximum power - 0.55 kW.
