Garlic is one of our main spices. Without it costing almost one dish: soup, meat, salads, vegetable side dishes. I am adding it virtually anywhere, I love its taste and aroma.
Half the battle to grow garlic big, juicy, strong and healthy. The most important thing - to be able to save it. I do not like to buy vegetables at the market, so try to keep your garlic fresh, strong school until the summer before the new harvest.
I have tried many ways to store garlic: in bags, in banks, in bags, in the refrigerator, in the cellar. But now that the year I use only one method. That is how the garlic crop is kept almost the whole year. I share with you my recipe.
All it will take us to store - an ordinary cardboard box or crate and onion skins.
Everything is done very simply:
- In a cardboard box to do some pretty big holes. They do all the walls in different places. If we take the wooden box, you do not have to hole. The distance between the planks would be enough;
- Fall asleep bottom box of dry onion skins;
- Folds neatly into a box pre-dried garlic;
- Fall asleep garlic another layer of onion skins;
- Harvesting in a dry place: you can in the closet, on the mezzanine or sofa.
Dry onion peel perfectly passes air that gets into the box from the previously made holes. This helps maintain optimal humidity and ventilation, resulting in garlic does not spoil and is stored until the next season.
