Wood has long been an excellent material for construction.

Today, the tradition of building wooden houses is reviving with renewed vigor. Many modern cottage settlements are full of country houses and wooden dachas. Wealthy developers have appreciated the advantages of wooden houses over brick ones and choose high quality construction at a relatively inexpensive price. What do I think about this?

In Russia, traditionally, four- or five-walled log cabins were built. The material itself was very cheap, although, despite the large number of forests, it was impossible to just cut down a tree and build a house - a building permit was needed.

Gradually, an opinion was formed about a brick or stone house as a symbol of prosperity and wealth. But was it always true?

Personally, I think that living material is much better suited for building a country house or summer cottage - a high-quality processed tree. And processed by hand, not on a machine. The fact is that when cutting a log with an ax, the pores of the wood are pressed, which means that the wood will not absorb moisture and will not crack over time.

  • A wooden house warms up much faster than a brick house and cools down longer. This is an important argument for those who like to be outside the city not only in summer, but also in the cold season.
Not a house, but a "feast for the eyes". And how is it worse than a stone one?

  • In addition, wood not only perfectly insulates, but also conducts heat. In such a house, breathing is facilitated and the general well-being of a person improves. Also a tangible advantage of wood is its durability. A properly built house, made of high-quality wood, can last for more than one hundred years.

Perhaps the only drawback of a wooden house is its fire hazard. And against the background of all the advantages, among which the low cost of the material stands out favorably, wooden houses rightfully occupy a worthy niche among all modern buildings.
