As a rule, not one veranda or a cozy small garden near the house is complete without a bench. This is an essential attribute of a paradise where you can retire and take a break from the gray everyday life. Naturally, no one wants to shell out large sums of money on garden furniture. And to design it yourself is a troublesome and slow business.

I will tell you how to quickly make a comfortable and reliable bench. Material and time costs are minimal. You will need 14 concrete blocks and wooden beams. The result is a rather stylish and unusual garden bench. By the way, you don't need any tools! The only difficulty may be the heavy weight of the concrete blocks.

It is recommended to design the bench right where it should stand. Due to its mass, it turns out to be not transportable.

First stage. The concrete block must be smeared along the contour with a suitable glue, stepping back from the edge about 1.5 centimeters. Then apply glue in the center by drawing the letter "X". The photo below demonstrates this clearly.

Second phase. It is necessary to assemble two supports, each of which consists of four blocks. The glue will dry for about an hour. Only then proceed to the third stage.

Stage three. Then turn over the received supports. Lay them so that the long sides rest on a horizontal surface. Place two concrete blocks on top. For clarity, see the photo below!

Stage four. Further we will make support for the future backrest. We put the last block, having previously covered it with glue. We do the same with the second support. Below is a photo.

Fifth stage. To prevent the bench from looking dull, the blocks can be painted. Do not feel sorry for the paint, as it needs to penetrate all the holes and pores of the concrete. Remove excess paint with a brush.

Sixth stage. We take seven bars measuring 90x90 mm (choose the length yourself). The surface and edges of the beams must be sanded with 80 - 120 grit. This will help get rid of defects and irregularities.

We cover the bars with a stain, it is better to do this with a wide brush. Drying time of the stain is about an hour.

Seventh stage. You can collect the bench. Supports should be at a distance less than the length of the bars. We insert each end of the timber into the hole of the block on the corresponding support. From two bars you should get a back, and from four - a seat.

Eighth stage. Enjoy the finished bench! You can decorate it with pillows, potted flowers, a blanket, etc. It turned out very nice and stylish. Now you have the perfect place for a quiet outdoor retreat.
