Unfortunately, our tap water is very hard. It contains many different impurities and salts. Therefore, plaque on mixers and taps appears with enviable consistency. Every time I clean the plumbing, I am extremely indignant.
The most problematic place in our house is the kitchen faucet. Apparently, we use it most often. Limescale builds up on it very quickly. I have to work hard to return the shine to the tap.
Previously, to combat plaque, I used all kinds of products that are sold in the household chemicals department. The assortment is extensive and diversified.
However, I soon realized that the purchase of these funds would cost me a pretty penny. Plus, there's nothing good about inhaling chemical fumes regularly.
So I started looking for a cheaper and safer remedy. Fortunately, my search was crowned with success. Now I want to tell you how you can safely and cost-effectively remove limescale from faucets.
The miracle remedy that will be discussed can be found in the bins of almost any hostess. I'm talking about citric acid!
The main advantage of this method is that it is very cheap. In addition, you do not have to exert any extra effort.
And so, heat a glass of water and dissolve a tablespoon of our "miracle remedy" in boiling water, ie. citric acid.
Then generously wet a suitable piece of cloth with the resulting solution. Wrap a cloth around the faucet you plan to remove.
Wait about an hour, at this time it is advisable not to touch the tap.
After the specified time, you can easily remove the softened limescale with a regular sponge.
Finally, wipe the tap with a dry cloth and see the result!
