That, if not a mosquito net protects our homes from annoying insects. In addition, it prevents dust and leaves from entering the apartment through open windows. Such mesh is made of fiberglass. The lifespan of mosquito nets can be very long. However, no one is safe from the appearance of holes on them.

Manufacturers now offer various types of mosquito nets.

When my mosquito net broke, I tried to simply seal it with tape. After a while, it got dirty, dusty and began to peel off. I came to the conclusion that such a solution is not effective.

So I went online to find better fixes. Here's what I managed to find:

1.Method one: mesh over mesh

If a piece of old mosquito netting is lying around on the farm, try to find it, since it will come in handy in business. Arm yourself with a needle and thread (ideally with nylon thread). Cut out a piece of mesh to fit the hole, leaving a couple of centimeters at each end.

You can fix the mesh right on the window. Glue the cut piece on top of the tape. Sew on three sides with thread, then remove the tape and sew on the remaining side.

2.Method two: self-adhesive tape

In stores today you can see tapes specially designed for repairing meshes. Black and gray ribbons are sold, usually 5 centimeters wide. They are not afraid of water and hold securely.

First, treat the torn place with acetone, then cut off the tape (it is better to take with a margin). Remove the tape, stick it on the hole, smooth out the tape and blow on it with a hairdryer. He hot air, the adhesive side will begin to melt, thanks to which it will be securely fixed.

Be that as it may, it is much more effective than scotch tape. The ribbon is slightly visible on the grid, but does not affect the functionality.
