Hello dear reader! In this article, I will describe and show how you can make a very useful homemade product for a screwdriver or drill in 10 minutes from scraps of PP pipes. I saw her at a neighbor's, and I really liked her. Now I decided to make myself the same.

So let's get started ...

For work we need:

  • two cutting of polypropylene pipes 5 - 7 cm long and 20 mm and 32 mm in diameter;
  • a piece of sandpaper;
  • one bolt М10 - М12 100 - 120 mm long;
  • two washers for an M10 or M12 bolt;
  • well, a nut corresponding to the diameter of the bolt.
All you need: PP pipes 32 and 20 mm long 6 cm, M12 bolt, 2 washers and a nut.

Cutting off a 6 cm cut from the PP pipe with a diameter of 32 mm, I make a through cut along the pipe with a hacksaw or a grinder. When working with a grinder, be careful, it can jam the disc when cutting!

I cut a pipe with a diameter of 20 mm with the same length. We clean the edges of both scraps, remove the burrs.

The 32 mm pipe is cut lengthwise.

Now take a piece of sandpaper and cut out a 130 x 60 mm rectangle. We insert one end of the emery strip into the cut of a pipe with a diameter of 32 mm, wrap the pipe around and push the other end into the cut of the pipe. It should look something like this.

Before doing this, you can open the pipe with something from the inside so that the slot becomes wider. Then the sandpaper will go in without problems.

Now you need to shove a piece with a diameter of 20 mm inside this 32nd pipe, bending the ends of the sandpaper.

Next, we take a bolt with a washer (I took an M12) and put it inside the pipes. We put on another washer on the back and tighten it all with a nut.

Homemade product is ready

So our "grinding drum" is ready, with which you can grind various surfaces and process the ends of wood and other products.

Over time, the sandpaper will of course wear out, but it doesn't matter. By unscrewing the nut and removing the bolt, you can easily and easily replace the sandpaper with a new one.
