On the doorstep - the long-awaited women's holiday, and, therefore, the long-awaited "million scarlet roses". But, unfortunately, these wonderful gifts will not last long in a vase, and withered flowers will have to be discarded with regret...

Not necessary at all! A faded bouquet can be used to grow several bushes of beautiful roses, which from year to year will delight the eye in your garden.

Preparing cuttings

1. In order for our experiment to be successful, the first step is to choose healthy branch.

2. Now you need to remove the leaves from future cuttings and carefully cut, in fact, the material itself (necessarily with three or four kidneys!). We make the lower cut as close as possible to the kidney at an angle, and the upper cut one centimeter above the kidney.

Important! Do not make the cuttings too long.

3. For half an hour, we place the cuttings in a weak solution of potassium permanganate, prepared in advance.

Soil preparation

ready soil and shuffle it fromperlite in a ratio of two to one. I also spill the resulting mixture with a manganese solution - for disinfection.

Mistake number 1: you should not take soil from your garden - it is not suitable for this process due to its excessive density. For successful rooting, loose soil is needed, allowing the cutting to "breathe"!

A little secret for great results

In order for the cuttings not to simply rot, but probably to give roots, I have a secret of the "magic solution "- easy to prepare, but for cuttings - as if resurrecting to a new life alive water.

For half a glass of settled water at room temperature - one teaspoon of honey and wood ash, 2 teaspoons of aloe juice.

In this life-giving elixir, the cuttings should stand for 6 hours.

Ideal "home"

Now the cuttings can be safely planted in the ground. The best container for me in this is cut off one and a half liter plastic bottlesthoroughly washed and dried. It is not recommended to take smaller bottles: there will be too little air.

In the lower part we make wide "ventilation" holes, fill up the soil, plant the cutting, leaving two buds in the ground, and two above. Close the top with the second part of the bottle with a screwed lid,in the manner shown in the photo.

Important! A common mistake # 2 novice gardeners make is over-watering the "pet". For this reason, it can quickly turn black and rot. Watering should be very moderate, and if condensation is observed on the walls of the greenhouse bottle, there is enough moisture!

It will be possible to remove the cap only in 2-3 weekswhen the stalk take root (that's why we put it in a transparent container - to see it in time). remember, that the appearance of leaves does not mean rooting yet!

With the emergence of roots, the cutting turns into a full-fledged seedling, ready for planting in the garden. Congratulations to all women on the upcoming holiday, we wish you successful experiments and beauty around!
