Why when removing the sewer

Good afternoon, dear guests and subscribers of the "Build for myself" channel!

The correct organization of drainage from the premises of the house is one of the most important tasks. The slope angle, sealing of all joints and sufficient compaction of the soil under the pipe before backfilling are very important here.

Friends, in this article I will not touch on the above points, but I will focus on the importance of laying the liner under the sewer pipe. Namely, why is it necessary to prepare for the bookmark just a long sleeve with a diameter of 1.5-2 times the diameter of the working pipe.

To begin with, I want to give an illustration showing a section of the foundation and the sewer pipe in two versions: in a sleeve and without a sleeve:

Causes and Effects

First of all, without a long sleeve, the pipe is vulnerable when installing a blind area. As a rule, the blind area is performed after communications and during its construction, the fertile layer is removed by 25-30 cm. thereby approaching the pipe. Before the finishing coat, rubble or sand is rammed. If the usual rammer is 70-100 kg. - this is half the trouble, then if the master uses a slap-foot, then this type of ramming equipment for one or two breaks through the ground and breaks sewer pipes with a diameter of 110 mm., especially if the wall thickness is less than 3 mm.

As a rule, a pipe of the next diameter acts as a sleeve, i.e. for the 110th, the casing will be carried out with a 160 mm pipe. The wall thickness of such products reaches up to 5 mm. The rammer needs to try to break this thickness.

Secondly, inside the house under the floor, in the foundation and under the blind area - the sleeve is arranged in such a way as to cover most joints, thus, for any leakage in the ground, the sleeve will remove water outside the foundation buildings. In this case, we avoid getting the soil wet under the base of the foundation.

Usually, a 3-meter pipe is more than enough to properly organize the sleeve and drain water 1 meter behind the foundation.

Thirdly, it is possible that the area of support of the foundation on the ground is not enough to carry the weight of the house (the situation is very often occurs during construction without a project), and after the construction of a heavy box, the soil under the house gradually shrinks and condenses.

Since the slope of the sewer pipes during their installation is made insignificant for a slow waste flow, the house shrinks even by 3 cm. enough to redirect the water flow in the opposite direction. In this case, our pipe without a liner will bend into an oval under load and will accumulate water at the junction between the foundation and the ground.

When casing, the same will happen with the liner and not with the working tube, since the liner and the tube are independent of each other and there is air between them.

I saw it once with my own eyes in the process of replacing communications, when, when the house shrinks, the pipe bursts at the junction.

Friends, a 2 or 3 meter pipe with a diameter of 160 mm. costs a maximum of 1,500 rubles.

I would be glad if the article became useful to you!
