Good afternoon, dear guests and subscribers of my channel!
Today there is a short article on the agenda and it will be devoted to drilling / drilling temporary holes, which can be easily hidden in the future.
Rather, infrequently, but there are situations at home or in the office when you need to hang a clock, calendar, picture or shelf on the wall knowing in advance that this item will not hang here for a long time.
Often, we refuse this venture, because we understand that we will "admire" this hole until the next repair. After all, it is in contrast with the light walls - it immediately catches the eye.
I really hope that my today's advice will be useful to you.
So, we take a clerical knife and first of all we make a vertical cut of the wallpaper, 1-3 cm long. (depending on the drill diameter):
Further, from the first cut we make the second - a horizontal cut of the same length:
Carefully, with the tip of a knife we pry and bend the corner of the wallpaper without breaking the material:
We expose the wall and this is what should happen:
After that, you can start drilling ...
After the hole stops serving you, we simply bend the corner of the wallpaper back and put it on PVA glue, so it turns out that the hole remains under the wallpaper, without unnecessary magic.
Important!
- The incision is made both L- and U-shaped. It all depends on the quality and density of the wallpaper.
- The fold line of the wallpaper should be above the level of the hole, as the dust from drilling the wall will clog into a narrow gap between the wall and the wallpaper (option without a construction vacuum cleaner) and with further gluing of the corner, a fold becomes visible or tubercle. When using a vacuum cleaner, the location of the fold line does not matter.
- When making cuts - it is important to use a clerical knife or blade, then the seam becomes thin and invisible.
That's all! I hope you liked the method.
