I no longer make a box of plasterboard. I saw in one of the apartments in Germany how pipes are hidden in the s / node. Also made [my photos]

Good afternoon, dear guests and subscribers of the "Build for Myself" channel!

I think that the topic of hidden installation of water pipes is very relevant both for the owners of their private houses and for the residents of apartments.

By enclosing pipes in the walls, in the event of a leak, we lose quick access to them, and by making a box of drywall, we do not only we do not have quick access until we break it, so this pedestal also does not fit into the intended interior and endlessly interferes. Unless you can put toilet paper and air freshener on it :-))).

The second, very insidious moment, in order to eliminate the leak - we must break the tiles, and if the repair was carried out 5 years ago, then such tiles can no longer be found on store shelves. We will have to pick it up for a very long time, having visited any store, or make a decision on a complete replacement. Well, or "collective farm", hiding the place of the knocked-out tiles with plaster or interior items.

I saw this option at my sister's apartment 7 years ago, she lives in Berlin and says that many people hide the pipeline in this way. And, of course, I took note of this method! And did! :-)))

The scheme is simple. The pipes are laid before plastering and fixed to the wall.

In a cut, it looks like this:

Floor tiles can be installed both before and after pipe installation. The main thing is that the pipes do not protrude beyond the wall plane by more than 20-25 mm. Next, I'll explain why.

If you have a sewer pipe, then we cut into the wall in order to comply with our 20-25 mm. Picture below:

Now, it remains to establish the material that needs to beautifully close the pipes. This is a polymeric floor skirting board. The cost for 2 meters is about 700 rubles, but this is much cheaper than the construction of a GKL box. Such a plinth can be dismantled at any time without damaging it, for quick access to pipes.

The market offers a bunch of options with different cross sections and different heights, any pipe can be hidden without much effort:

Further:

But, such a plinth only covers the ledge - 20-25 mm. There is an option such that if the pipes go beyond the wall more than this value, then you can purchase a second even slab and dissolve it to get a strip of a given thickness. Further, they are glued together to form a kind of cable channel (boxes). Can be repainted in any color!

Taste and color options:

Skirting options

The height of such skirting boards varies from 5 to 20 cm, so you can safely hide a sewer lounger with a diameter of 110 mm.

I did it in the following way: I put each skirting board on a sealant.

It looks very elegant and neat. If necessary, it can be painted to match the color of the tile.

The plinth is only 3 cm thick.

Friends, this is actually a worthy and very practical option, the skirting board is removed in 5 minutes with an incision in the sealant / silicone and access to the pipes is provided, which cannot be said about the GKL box.

I think this option will be useful to you someday, as it was useful to me! Thanks!
