One of my favorite pastimes in my childhood were trips to Radio stores. Yesterday I happened to be near Emerald Street, which had one of these shops. Surprisingly, he is still alive, although he has significantly decreased.

In Soviet times, there were Radio stores in Moscow on Shabolovka, 5th Parkovaya, Izumrudnaya. There was also "Electron" on Butyrsky Val and two "Electronics" on Leninsky Prospekt.

When I was ten years old, I regularly went to these stores to gawk at audio equipment and radio components. Sometimes I even bought all sorts of little things.

Most often, I visited "Radio" on Emerald Street in Losinka, as this store was closest to home. Now, instead of the large Soviet store "Radio" - "Magnet", and a tiny radio store, which you can not even immediately notice, is on the left.

Here it is, along with a travel agency and second-hand.

Here, in fact, the whole store inside.

A small showcase with antenna connectors and splitters did not fit into the frame.

Antennas, digital TV set-top boxes and electrician. Indoor antennas cost from 450 to 650 rubles. Prefixes from 1100 to 1600 rubles.

On the second shelf there are Lyra receivers with a frightening design. There are even radio stations.

A bunch of all kinds of connectors, batteries, LEDs, wires and cables.

Soldering irons, fluxes, solders and copper tips for soldering irons (it looks like they are still Soviet).

Few tools, bulbs, lamps.

I noticed something amazing in the window. Soviet magnifiers for 80 rubles! I have no idea where they could have come from in 2020.

I bought both.

I have been using this magnifier almost every day for many, many years. Now there is a spare.

On the box there is a place for the OTK stamp and the price is 2 rubles. :)

I can't say that I experienced a fit of nostalgia, but it was interesting for me to find myself in the remains of a store that I visited many, many times as a child. Well, I bought the magnifiers at the same time. :)

P.S. Curious, are there those who decided that this publication is an advertisement for a store? I'm just curious to see these people. :)

The main topic of my blog is technology in human life. I write reviews, share experiences, talk about all sorts of interesting things. My second project -
lamptest.ru. I test LED bulbs and help me figure out which ones are good and which are not.
