How I chose the dishwasher

In March, I decided that I should finally buy a normal dishwasher and started choosing. There were many fears and many incomprehensible moments, but everything is behind and I am happy with the choice - the machine has been working for five months almost every day.

I bought my first ARDO ME 5661 dishwasher 20 years ago and it was an unusual machine - it was built under the "Soviet" sink and pulled out on the rails. She had only one "floor" and was very noisy due to the plastic case, but the dishes were excellent. When I moved to a new apartment 15 years ago, I moved the dishwasher and installed it in a standard 45-centimeter opening (in which it occupied only two-thirds of the height), but it was inconvenient to use it, so it stood idle and was used only a few times in year.

For a long time I "sluggishly" thought about buying a modern dishwasher, and when the dollar jumped up, I decided that I had to quickly buy it at the "old" price.

My selection criteria were as follows:

• built-in, 45 cm;

• the presence of a third "floor" for cutlery is mandatory;
• quiet;
• availability of the time-optimal program 1 hour 30 minutes;
• presence of the indicator of the remaining time;
• convenient management.

I had many fears, which were dispelled only after buying a typewriter. Surely those who choose a dishwasher have some of these concerns, and now I can comment on them.

1. Some people write that the third tray is inconvenient.

Very convenient! Much better cutlery baskets.

2. The door will not hold in intermediate positions, it will not be possible to keep the door ajar after the machine is running.

Holds up without problems. You can open at least 5 cm, at least 20 cm.

3. Is there a third sprinkler for the third "floor"? They don't write about her anywhere.

There is. Small.

4. The baskets will be hot without the plastic handles and will be impossible to pull out.

Nonsense. There is no discomfort when pulling out baskets without handles.

5. Detergent drawer too low is inconvenient.

It doesn't matter where he is. By the way, the tray works in an interesting way - it opens purely mechanically when the temperature inside the machine reaches a certain value. The tablet falls down the machine (this sound is audible and can frighten the owner).

6. I need drying.

And without drying, the dishes are dry after the end of the cycle.

7. Need auto-opening door.

It's a useful feature, but it's not worth the asking price. The door can also be opened manually, and if it is not opened immediately after the cycle, nothing bad will happen.

8. Number of sets.

The volume of all machines is the same and most often it does something big (pots, pans). It is not very important for how many sets of dishes the machine is designed for.

9. Beam on the floor.

Again, not bad, but not worth the extra money. At the end of the cycle, the machine beeps (if the cycle is not delayed). If in doubt, you can open and see. It's okay if the cycle is not finished, it will not happen - after closing the machine will continue the cycle.

10. It takes a lot of programs.

Not necessary. I only use two "1 hour 30 minutes" every day and "3 hours" if the dishes are very dirty.

11. Backlight.

An absolutely useless and purely decorative function.

12. Modes of disconnecting baskets, half load mode.

Unless you're an eco-activist trying to save half a liter of water, you don't need to.

13. Separate buttons for each program.

Convenient, but not for separate money. To run the machine on a standard 1.5 hour car wash, I press the power button, press the program button three times and close the door. This has been done for a long time already "automatically".

14. Touch buttons. Many people write that this is inconvenient - they do not work when their hands are wet.

My buttons are ordinary and it's convenient. I suppose it would be worse with touchscreens. Hands are often wet.

15. The presence of a program launch button.

It is much more convenient to start by closing the door, like mine.

16. Hourly delayed start.

It is convenient, but there is nothing wrong with a delayed start at 3/6/9 hours.

17. Noise.

I have seen reviews in which they write that the typewriter is not heard at all. It doesn't work that way. The typewriter makes different sounds anyway. My drain pump is the loudest. But in general, the machine works very quietly and does not interfere with those who are next to it.

18. Reliability, guarantee, country of origin.

Most machines have a 1 year warranty, Midea 2 years. The country of production, in my opinion, does not matter. I would not get involved with a bunch of pseudo-European brands that have recently appeared that are very actively promoted by kitchen manufacturers.

As a result, I bought a car Candy CDI 2D11453-07, and the choice fell on her for the simple reason that a dishwasher, costing 31,000 rubles, was sold to me for 18,000 "by acquaintance." Brother "in my tracks" also bought Candy, but simpler.

I am completely satisfied with this machine, my brother too. If I didn't have the opportunity to buy Candy for almost half the price, I would most likely buy some Midea, especially since my Candy was produced by this Chinese company (I wrote about the possibilities of various models typewriters: https://ammo1.livejournal.com/1129913.html).

I made two big conclusions from all this:

- most of the fears that I had when choosing are not worth paying attention to.

- dishwashers in the "20 thousand rubles" category are quite efficient and convenient. I don't see any sense in buying Bosch or Siemens for 40 thousand, and even more expensive cars.
