Most are sure that GSM signaling cannot be cheap, but the State company from Togliatti produces a small GSM signaling Krikana-PMT, running on batteries and costing only 1,350 rubles.
I studied it and tested it in work.
All alarm systems are housed in a conventional motion sensor. A SIM card of any operator that supports the GSM network is put into it (in Moscow, these are Beeline, MTS, Megafon). The alarm is fixed in such a way that direct sunlight does not fall on it and it "sees" the protected area.
The set includes two mounts - a leg and double-sided tape, two AAA batteries, instructions, a memo and a warranty card.
On the right side of the case there is a switch, a button and a hole for the missing microphone (I heard that there was some kind of bad story with criminal prosecution of the buyer of a similar alarm with a microphone, after which, apparently, the microphones in the alarm are to be installed unfortunately stopped).
On the back wall there are numerous holes for different types of fastening.
In the center of the board there is a slot for a SIM card and a pyroelectric sensor (it is important not to touch it with your fingers).
The logic of the alarm is quite simple: the security mode is turned on and off with a small switch on the right side of the alarm. After arming, there are 50 seconds to leave the premises. Approximately 55 seconds after switching on, the alarm sends just such an SMS and arises.
There are 30 seconds after the motion sensor is triggered to disarm the alarm. If this is not done, first the SMS "Alarm" will come, then the alarm will start calling the owner.
If the call is dropped, the alarm will try to call two more times, if you answer, the alarm will immediately end the conversation. Two minutes after the alarm, the alarm will re-arm and send an SMS.
In security mode, the alarm monitors the room temperature. If it becomes very high (probably, there was a fire), the alarm will send SMS and start calling the owner. If the temperature has become too low, the alarm will notify three times: that the temperature has dropped below 16, then below 12, and below 8 degrees. each SMS will be accompanied by a call.
Temperature control can be disabled if desired.
By default, the alarm sends SMS once a day with the balance and its status. The only way to disable this or set up a more rare sending of such SMS is to rearrange the SIM card in the phone and change the fifth number in the SIM card notebook (a number from 0 to 31 is written there, 0 - sending SMS with a balance is off, 1-31 - sending period 1-31 days).
It is possible to request the balance manually, for this you need to press and hold the button in the disarmed mode. SMS will come in 30 seconds.
Basic functions are easy to configure. In order to register your number in the alarm, you need to close the jumper and turn on the security mode. After 50 seconds, the alarm will emit a long beep. After that, you need to call her from your number (then you can call from two more, so that alarm notifications come to them). After that you can turn off the security mode and open the jumper. The first phone will receive such an SMS.
Several parameters can be configured by calling the alarm number after an alarm occurs and the alarm calls you. It is possible to change the sensitivity of the motion sensor, enable an additional arming delay of 1-9 hours, disable control temperature, completely turn off the alarm (after such a shutdown, you need to turn off and turn on the switch to re-put the alarm on protection).
There is a function of setting the motion sensor: if you press the button when the alarm is not armed, it will start blinking the LED when it detects movement.
The alarm is accompanied by a memo, which describes in simple and understandable language how to configure and use the device.
Two Alkaline AAA batteries last for 6 months of alarm operation. To save their charge, the GSM path is turned on only in case of alarm and for a few seconds when arming (the rest of the time the alarm number will be unavailable).
The alarm sends quite a lot of SMS (with each arming, re-arming in case of alarm, in case of alarm, regular SMS with balance), this must be taken into account when choosing a sim card tariff.
Many will say that the main disadvantage of Krikana-PMT is that it can be simply turned off with a switch and there will be no alarm notification. This is true, but for this the attacker must know that you have just such an alarm and be able to turn it off. In 99% of cases, such an alarm installed in a garage, shed, country house, or just a desktop drawer with sweets will work, after all, professionals are unlikely to try to get there, and an ordinary thief in 30 seconds will not know where the alarm is and how it is disable. In any case, such an alarm is much better than no alarm at all.
If the alarm is installed at a remote facility, it is highly desirable to install a video surveillance camera there, so that when the alarm is triggered, you can check the situation at the facility.
For all its simplicity and low cost, Krikana-PMT is quite efficient and in many cases can compete with expensive alarm systems.
