Exactly one year ago i tested cheap Flarx batteries from FixPrice stores. As you know, many products change over time, so I bought these batteries again and tested them again.
Fixprice stores sell salt batteries in blister packs of 10 for 55 rubles and alkaline (alkaline, alkaline) batteries in blisters of 4 for 50 rubles. I am sure that salt batteries belong to the dustbin of history, so I only buy and test alkaline batteries.
Just like a year ago, AA and AAA batteries have different manufacturers: AA is made by Ningbo B&B, and AAA is made by Hua Bei.
I was buying batteries in February 2020. Both AA and AAA were produced in October 2019.
Weight of AA batteries 23.3-23.5 g, AAA - 11.1-11.2 g.
The initial voltage of AA batteries is 1.622-1.630 V, AAA - 1.623 V.
I tested the batteries with battery analyzer Oleg Artamonov.
The batteries were discharged in two modes:
• Discharge with direct current 200 mA. Such a load is inherent in electronic toys;
• Pulse discharge (10 seconds load, 20 seconds pause) 2500 mA for AA batteries and 1000 mA for AAA. This load is typical for powerful devices.
The measurements were made when the batteries were discharged to a voltage of 0.7 V.
When discharged with a constant current of 200 mA, the AA battery produced 2.02 Wh, the AAA battery - 0.81 Wh. And a year ago it was 2.22 / 0.94 Wh.
When discharged with a high current, the AA battery was able to give out 0.56 Wh. A year ago it was 0.5 Wh.
When discharged with a high current, the AAA battery was able to give out 0.35 Wh. A year ago it was 0.4 Wh.
As you can see, these batteries in the discharge mode with an average current of 200 mA give 10-14% less energy than those that I experienced last year. I won't argue that Flarx batteries have gotten worse. A different batch of batteries may be better.
Should you buy these batteries? If there is an opportunity to buy Lexman in Leroy Merlin for 13 or 14 rubles (https://ammo1.livejournal.com/1118799.html), of course it is better to buy Lexman, but if there is no such possibility and the choice is only between Flarx at 12.5 rubles per piece and expensive batteries, of course we must safely take Flarx, because the difference in capacity with twice more expensive batteries does not exceed 20%.

The main topic of my blog is technology in human life. I write reviews, share experiences, talk about all sorts of interesting things. My second project - lamptest.ru. I test LED bulbs and help figure out which ones are good and which are not so good.
