Android on a regular computer

  • Dec 11, 2020

What I joked about four years ago wrote the first of April, today has become a reality. Android can run on regular computers and laptops.

Google still hasn't dared to compete with Microsoft and conquer the world with Android for PC, but a group of enthusiasts managed to port Android to PC. and make it work on regular computers and laptops, supporting Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, sound and video cards, cameras and many others devices.

Moreover, an emulator has been created that allows you to run applications for ARM processors on x86 processors.

Judging by the screenshots, even Google services are working.

Android-x86 can be installed on a computer hard drive, or it can run and work directly from a USB flash drive.

ISO images of different versions of Android-x86 can be downloaded from the official project page: android-x86.org.

Brief installation instructions in Russian: pikabu.ru/story/ustanovka_android_x86_na_netbuk_7137712.

Android for PC can be an excellent option to "revive" a very old laptop or computer, however, it can also be used for modern computers, especially in boot mode.
