The range of Ledare LED lamps in the Russian IKEA has been reduced to a minimum. Of the seven lamps, two indicate "out of range", and the most popular E27 600 lm lamps are not available at all.

IKEA has less and less premium LEDARE bulbs

It so happened that the most modern LED lamps have always been sold in IKEA stores. Until recently, only there it was possible to buy lamps with a color rendering index above 90, so far only IKEA manufactures "color dimmable" lamps in which the light color changes from yellow to warm when increasing brightness.

When faced with this fact for the first time, everyone is surprised and cannot believe how it can be that the "furniture store" sells the world's best light bulbs.

Most likely, somewhere in the leadership of Ikea there is an enthusiastic engineer who promoted the idea of producing "super bulbs".

Initially, only one series of LED lamps was sold at IKEA - LEDARE. All of these lamps have a CRI above 90 and are dimmable. But such lamps cannot be cheap, so in 2015 the RYET series appeared - ordinary high-quality lamps. They do not support dimming and have a color rendering index above 80. In fact, RYET matches the good lamps of all other manufacturers in terms of their characteristics, while LEDARE are premium lamps with outstanding performance.

All characteristics of IKEA lamps of any series always exactly correspond to the declared ones - both the power, and the luminous flux (brightness), and the color rendering index.

Still, IKEA lamps are not perfect, and the reason for this imperfection is the same - pulsation. The very first Ledare lamps in 2013 had a ripple factor of over 60%. For modern IKEA lamps, it is 0-18%. Such ripple is not noticeable visually, it does not exceed the ripple of light from incandescent lamps, but through the smartphone camera, the ripple is visible and this confuses many. Apparently, the ingenious engineer who manages the lamps at IKEA believes that a small ripple is acceptable (there is no problem to reduce it to zero, but the cost of lamps will increase slightly).

In 2019, IKEA introduced smart lamps TRÅDFRI (https://ammo1.livejournal.com/1188462.html) with Zigbee control. Now they are no longer in Russian IKEA, but in the rest of the world they are sold and the range is expanding.

Now in the Russian IKEA "dominance" of cheap RIET lamps - 13 models.
There are only seven LEDARE left - a ball 95 mm 1000 lm (out of range), pear 1000 lm (out of stock) assortment), transparent candle 400 lm with color dimming, spots GX53 600 lm, GU10 600 lm, R50 400 lm.

One could assume that soon there will be no LEDARE lamps at all, but the seventh lamp - a 470 lumen candle has the status of "new".

There are nine types of LEDARE lamps on sale in Swedish IKEA stores, including 806 and 1055 lumen pears.

Perhaps, the range is just being updated and soon these lamps will appear in Russian IKEA.

The reasons for RYET's "victory" over LEDARE are quite understandable - most buyers do not understand technical parameters and just want cheaper lamps.

I note that in addition to LEDARE and RYET lighting lamps, IKEA now has ROLLSBO (ROLLSBU) and SILLBO (SILLBU) lamps. They give very little light - 140 lumens and are intended for decorative lighting.

Tomorrow, a new IKEA store opens next to my house - in the Europolis shopping center. I'm going to go there, buy all the new LEDARE and RYET lamps and test them.
