In the summer, we, as a rule, live in the country, so recipes in a frying pan become especially relevant at that time, since, unfortunately, there is no oven in the house.
Of course, fried potatoes will not let anyone die of hunger, but even they can get bored over time - I know from myself that I don't want to eat them more than 2 - 3 times a week.
Therefore, I got the hang of cooking delicious dishes without my faithful "helper" - the oven, and, by the way, they are in no way inferior to oven pies and casseroles in taste - it is a pleasure to eat them!
In this article, I want to share with you a recipe for an unusual potato pie in a pan - it is cooked in a matter of minutes, and eaten even faster!
We need the following ingredients:
For filling:
Potatoes - 4 pcs.,
Onions - 1 pc.,
Vegetable oil - for frying,
A bunch of parsley and dill
Hard cheese - 100 g. (powder for our cake)
To fill:
Eggs - 1 pc.,
Egg white - 1 pc.,
Flour - 1 tbsp. l.,
Salt, black pepper to taste.
The potatoes must be washed, peeled and coarsely grated.
Let's start preparing the filling: drive an egg into a separate bowl, add protein and flour, and then salt and pepper to taste.
Now we combine both mixtures into one whole and mix well. Preheat the frying pan, pour in some vegetable oil and spread the "dough". Fry for about 15 minutes until golden brown, then turn over and fry the same amount under a closed lid.
After the time has elapsed, sprinkle the cake with grated cheese and cover with a lid for a couple of minutes to melt.
As a result, we get a fragrant appetizing dish, which you just have to decorate with green tea and put on plates.
Such a cake “goes well”, both hot and cold, so you can safely leave it “for later”. But, judging by my culinary experience, you will definitely not have any problems with storing it, since it is eaten immediately, for one or two!
