Only bolt and nut and no welding. In what cases it is impossible to cook parts.

It is not always possible to weld parts or products. Sometimes it is necessary to connect only to a threaded connection - a bolt with a nut. Today I will show you on the example of my welding order, when necessary.

Today I finished welding a toolbox for a cargo trailer. Or rather a box for a spare wheel and tools.

Its dimensions are 1210 by 1210 mm, height is 600 mm. The frame is welded from 63 angles and a profile pipe 20 by 40 mm. Sheathed with 2 mm sheet metal. The weight turned out to be about 140 kg. Therefore, the attachments to the trailer must be very secure.

The lid opens from top to bottom on fixed hinges.

Reliable fastening of the box to the trailer frame must be done only on the bolted connection. The photo shows homemade brackets that attach the front to the frame.

The middle of the drawer is bolted to four factory brackets.

The back part was also fixed on homemade brackets from 63 corners - there was a piece from the frame material. In total, we got 8 attachment points.

But if instead of using bolts, we would simply weld this box to the trailer frame.

In this case, the welding seams from vibration and loads would burst very quickly and all attachment points would fall off.

Summarize.

If you need to fasten a part or product with a mechanism that will move, vibrate, perceive loads, then in such cases there is no welding, only threaded connections or rivets. All that buzzes is tighten the nuts!

We also made more boxes. The one in the photo of the blue semitrailer was brewed 7 years ago, this spring I met with the customer, everything still works fine.

Friends, watch the video where I showed in detail all the tool box mounts.
