To ensure that the soil receives a sufficient amount of oxygen, the cover is periodically removed for a short time. To accustom the plants to the cold, the container, along with the lid and the tray, are left in the refrigerator overnight. But it's important to remember that a freezer won't work for this.
It is necessary to control the growth of cucumbers. This is because the top cover restricts their development. This means that when the plants reach 5-7 cm, they can be transferred to intermediate containers. In this capacity, plastic glasses or bottles are used, in which the throat is previously cut off, and holes are made in the walls. Plants can be transferred from intermediate containers to open ground when they are old enough. A shoot height of 20 cm is considered normal. By this time, the street will already be warmer, which means that there will be no difficulties in growing cucumbers.
The advantage of using 5 liter bottles is the convenience of growing seedlings. If a standard method is used, it is more difficult to organize the process of obtaining seedlings from seeds. So, you need to look for a large container, which is not always possible. When small cups are used, they are difficult to move from place to place: a lot of time is spent.
