More recently, for example, my mother shared with me an interesting recipe called "You will lick your fingers." These are spicy tomatoes that are pickled in small slices. Quite a simple idea to implement. You just need to cut the tomatoes, add your favorite spices to them, and after the vegetables give juice, put them all in jars and sterilize. It takes very little time to make such a preparation, and the taste result of such a snack is simply excellent.

Pickled tomatoes "Lick your fingers"

Required products: - tomatoes (ripe) - 1 kg, - garlic cloves - 2-3 pcs., - allspice peas - 2-3 pcs., - ground coriander - 1 tsp. spoon, - black peppercorns - 8 pcs., - vegetable oil (odorless) - 50 ml, - vinegar (9%) - 30 ml, - fine salt - 1.5 tsp. spoons, - sugar - 1.5 tsp. spoons, - greens - to personal taste.

Cooking method

  • For these pickled tomatoes, it is better to take vegetables with a hard skin. I, for example, use the variety Cream, because there tomatoes have a very dense and fleshy pulp, perfect for such canning. Thoroughly, but gently rinse the selected tomatoes with warm water and wipe them dry. Then we cut each tomato into four parts, be sure to remove the white cores.
  • Next, pour sugar and fine salt into the tomatoes, add coriander and peas of various peppers to them.
  • Now we peel the garlic cloves from the husk, pass them through a press and also add to the tomatoes. The herbs in this recipe are used according to personal taste. Therefore, if you want, then cut and add to the preparation, for example, dill or parsley, or do not add anything.
  • Mix everything thoroughly and add more vinegar and vegetable oil. We stir everything again and let stand for 15 minutes. Tomatoes should start juicing and decrease slightly in weight.
  • Now we put water in a large pot and put it on the hotplate. Then we put the quarters of tomatoes in pre-sterilized jars, close them with lids and put them in a saucepan.
  • Next, turn on the fire. And after boiling the water, we subject the workpieces to the sterilization process, marking a segment of 15-20 minutes.
  • We take out the cans, roll the lids on them and cover them with a warm blanket, blanket or shawl. We are waiting for it to cool down. Then we take out our pickled tomatoes to a permanent storage place (closet, cellar, basement). Done!
