UP-TO-DATE THUA CARE TIPS

The most common plants in landscape design are, of course, beautifully trimmed thuja. Any garden or park can be transformed with them. But all the efforts of gardeners may be in vain, since thuja has many diseases. Smaragd is one of the most popular types of western thuja. Next, we will consider the most dangerous diseases and how you can fight them.

- If you saw brown shoots on your tree, then most likely this indicates a fungus.

The first emergency aid that must be given to thuja is to cut off all branches where you saw such shoots. The cut branches are burned so that the disease does not spread to other plants. The best medicine is foundazol at a concentration of 0.2%, with which thuja is sprayed once every two weeks. Such work is carried out in September. For prevention, you can use limestone, which must be dug into the root system in order to strengthen it.

- False shield - also refers to the problems that may arise in thuja. How to define this disease? Simple enough. Look closely at the trunk of your tree. If you notice yellow sores, you need to take action immediately. Otherwise, you run the risk of saying goodbye to your favorite plant. Two remedies for the treatment of thuja in this case: Rogor and Karbofos.

- Suddenly you noticed that the thuja began to turn yellow for no apparent reason.

In this case, there may be two reasons: either you are not taking good care of it, or the thuja has problems with the root system. Gardeners often do not pay attention to this and continue to actively water their plant. And this can bring the death of the plant closer, and then the owner of the once gorgeous thuja will need to remove it from the site. In this case, the foundation will help.

What pests are found in conifers

Conifers can also suffer from pests. They are different.

- Thuvaya speckled moth. This pest appears in early May. They are quite small in size, up to 5 mm, so it is not so easy to notice them yourself. But if the leaves of your tree began to turn yellow, and the tops die off, then, most likely, this is a speckled moth. The main drug capable of combating the appearance of these types of pests is "Cypermethrin", which contains pyrethroids. Trees should be treated regularly.

- Many trees suffer from thuja aphids, due to its interference, the decorativeness of plantings decreases. The pest lives on the bottom of the plant and is dark brown in color. Karbofos is the main tool in the fight against this type of pest.

Before all types of work, you must strictly follow the instructions and all spraying should be carried out with gloves and a respirator, so as not to damage your own health.

PROPER CARE IS THE KEY TO TUI'S HEALTH

In order to avoid various pests and diseases of thuja, you must choose the right care. It is not worth overdrying and pouring the plant. Here you must clearly monitor the state of soil moisture. The first few years in winter it is recommended to cover the ground with sawdust, and in summer, so that the plant does not lose moisture, with peat. Too much sun is also bad for thuja. It is recommended to prune the branches in the spring, so you can provide yourself with a beautiful and healthy plant.
