Good afternoon, my reader. Tapeworms or colorful flower beds would not look so interesting if it were not for the bright edging of undersized flowers. They are needed for carpet flower beds and are practical for mini-landscapes.

Rules for choosing low-growing plants
Plants up to 35 cm in height are called undersized. Among them there are also very miniature species. But due to their size, they are always in the foreground. Such plants must meet the following requirements:
- bush - lush;
- the color of flowers or leaves is bright;
- flowering - abundant and long;
- leaving is simple.
Flowering crops go well with decorative deciduous. Plants are chosen for the type of flower garden.
Recommendations:
- For a flower border, the lowest species are suitable, up to 15-20 cm. When framing a garden path, it is better to alternate varieties of different colors.
- In the rabatka, undersized species are planted in the first tier. The color and shape are selected taking into account the overall composition. Decorative deciduous bushes look favorably here.
- The height of the plants in the carpet bed should be the same and they are chosen so that they all bloom at the same time. Only two or three types are used.
- On a large backyard area, dotted flower beds of low-growing plants will get lost, while large carpet beds will look spectacular.
- An irregular flower bed is planted with varieties that open the buds one by one. And for undersized flowers in a frame, it is important to maintain a decorative appearance throughout the season.
For each flower group, plants with the same microclimate are selected. They also take into account the zoning of varieties and their own possibilities for caring for a flower bed. Working summer residents should take a closer look at succulents - they are the most drought tolerant.
Stunted perennials
They are planted when there is already a clear definition of the place, shape and theme of the flower garden.
