- Potassium salt. Increases winter hardiness of horticultural crops and has a beneficial effect on the condition of garden flowers.
- Magnesium. Promotes effective metabolic processes in cereals.
Ash production and preparation of top dressing
To get a good plant feeding agent, it is necessary to provide a special waste storage pit. Wood residues, grass cuttings and shrubs can be used as raw materials. There should be at least 5-10 m of free space between the plantings and the fire.
Burning of residues is carried out in dry weather, without wind, with the ability to control the intensity of combustion. Firewood or straw is gradually thrown into the fire.
Some summer residents burn waste on iron surfaces, but this does not always pay off. Ashes accumulate when cold, and after a few days they are sprayed all over the garden. Therefore, it is better to use metal tanks with a volume of 200 liters or more.
You can store the finished mixture in containers with lids or plastic bags. To avoid accumulation of liquid, do not close the bags.
To improve the condition of garden crops, an ash solution should be used. It is diluted according to simple instructions: 2 g of the substance is diluted with 200 g of liquid. The prepared product is used to disinfect the planting material. The seeds must be soaked for 2-5 hours, dried and placed in containers with a fertile substrate for germination.
Ash dressings are suitable for root processing and foliar procedures. In the first case, the ash is distributed immediately at the roots, and in the second, it is used for sprinkling overground parts.
