To date, Buleryan ovens are not very popular in Russia. Nevertheless, they gradually spread over the vastness of the fatherland. It's time to find out what kind of "fruits" are, when exactly they appeared, what are their features and whether it is worth getting involved with such an outlandish contraption at all. Will the buleryan oven become the main owner's disappointment?

Until the 1990s, the Buleryan oven was virtually unknown in Russia. Distantly, it looks like a domestic potbelly stove. However, there are some major differences. The stove was invented in Canada and in the first years after its appearance it was able to become a real brand. In fact, the stove is a steel barrel with a two-tier firebox inside. An important structural element is 6-10 air pipes that go around the boiler. All other elements, such as the door and flap, are no different from those found in other ovens.
Buleryan's work is based on the principle of smoldering firewood in the lower combustion chamber. By the way, the only "common" element that is absent in this type of oven is the ash pan, which is not very good. So, in the course of smoldering, generative gases arise, which in turn release a large amount of heat. Buleryan can work in two modes: kindling and gasification.

The first is used to quickly warm up a cold room. The second mode is used to maintain a stable air temperature for a long period of time (usually up to 10-12 hours). Among the advantages of these stoves, it is worth highlighting the efficiency increased by almost 70%, ease of operation, the possibility of heating (thanks to pipes) of several rooms, including on different floors. In addition, buleryan heats the room evenly and does it quickly enough.

However, the Canadian invention also has significant disadvantages. The first and most terrible is the exactingness of firewood. The second important disadvantage is a very large soot yield. In addition, there is a risk of dust formation on the hot metal and the release of some of the soot into the pipe. The latter leads to the fact that the oven needs to be cleaned quite often. Finally, Buleryan needs some experience in handling, since the first time not every person is able to set the damper correctly.
