Time is relentlessly moving forward, followed by technical progress. Car designers are modernizing cars on a daily basis to meet the requirements of modern drivers. But with the addition of innovative features and gadgets, there is no need to fit a range of other long-used items in cars. Therefore, those gadgets that yesterday we considered almost obligatory, tomorrow will disappear forever from the car.
1. Ashtray and cigarette lighter
Of course, there is still no need to talk about a reduction in the number of smokers, despite the growing trend towards a healthy lifestyle. Nevertheless, such gadgets as an ashtray and a cigarette lighter can disappear from car interiors very soon.
And this process has already begun: the cigarette lighter is increasingly being replaced by 12-volt sockets. As for the ashtrays, they began to be made in the form of a cup with a lid in a cup holder.
2. Disc radio
It's even surprising that in some car models of recent years you can find a radio tape recorder for playing CDs. After all, few of us took CD-RWs into our hands later than seven years ago - their place has long been taken by USB, Bluetooth and online services for listening to music. Therefore, CD-players are about to suffer the same unenviable fate as the radio recorders fifteen years earlier.
3. Halogen headlights
At the moment, halogen headlight technology is still actively used in the manufacture of automobiles. However, LED headlights are increasingly common. This is not to say that this is due to the fact that one technology is better than the other, but rather due to a natural change in priorities and trends in technological progress. Therefore, it is not surprising that LED headlights will soon replace halogens that have long been familiar.
4. Handbrake
It seemed that this is something, and cars will never get rid of the usual parking brake lever. But, as practice shows, even what was considered unshakable yesterday may become unnecessary today.
In fairness, it is worth clarifying that the handbrake itself will not go anywhere, but its appearance will undergo serious changes. Thus, it is assumed that a mechanical cable drive will give way to an electric drive. And the usual lever between the seats will be replaced by a button.
5. Key
In fact, the ignition key is gradually losing its important role that it used to play. Soon, it will rather fulfill an additional meaning and be used in emergency cases. And in everyday life, launch via a button or wireless access through an application will come to the rescue.

6. Physical buttons
In this case, the trend is similar to that which befell phones: buttons have been replaced with touchscreen displays. The same process is expected for the buttons in the car. Already today on the market you can find models where the panels are partially touch-sensitive, and soon this replacement will be made in full.

7. Analog devices
Another example of the "progress for progress" trend. This is not to say that the analog dashboard is much worse than the digital one, which is receiving more and more attention from car manufacturers, although the cost of the latter is less. In addition, they are easier to use and can be customized based on the needs of the owner. Therefore, very soon, analog panels will completely disappear from car interiors.
