10. Take a look around

The decoration of the slopes and framing of windows cannot be considered in isolation from the general design and style.

Answer yourself to the question: do you want to highlight the windows, make them accent elements or, on the contrary, should be "dissolved" in the interior?

9. Classic stucco

The classics are characterized by the use of wood in the decoration of this area, in the manner of decorating offices or libraries.

8. Laconic molding

A simple and effective way to highlight a window is to put a molding with the letter P around the perimeter of the window opening. This is good for modern classics, where you don't need a lot of unnecessarily decorative elements.

This technique is also beneficial from a technical point of view: wallpaper or other material will not bully at the outer corner.

7. Mirrors

Another interesting trick is a slope mirror. This helps bring in more light into the room. And then it is better not to curtain the window with tulle or curtains, since it actually becomes an art object and a full-fledged element of the interior, acting as an accent.

6. Shutters

Also, windows are often framed with shutters. Rather, it is typical of Scandi, country, chalet, Provence styles - depending on the type of shutters themselves.

5. Brickwork

In a modern interior, it is possible to finish slopes with brickwork. Depending on the color and surrounding details, it can play in the direction of a brutal loft or chalet, light classics or modern minimalism.

4. Single rectangular edging

Slopes and a window sill can be decorated with a common edging, turning the zone into a single object. The result is not a U-shaped molding, which was mentioned above, but a closed rectangle.

3. Give up plastic

Better not to use plastic panels on slopes and plastic corners. They make the interior very cheap. Replace with reinforced corners to form even corners. And the slopes themselves, for example, carefully paint.

2. Don't be confused by the usual white slopes

Most often, there is absolutely no need to paint them in the color of the walls. On the contrary, white will visually make the window wider, working almost as effectively as a mirror.

1. Don't forget practicality

Remember that you should definitely not dance from the window when creating an interior. Clean, new, tidy, open windows are already very good for an apartment. If you want to arrange them somehow in a special way, then be ready to invest.
