Lavka-Design studio decorator Anastasia Kamenskikh didn’t skimp on the quality of finishing in decorating her own apartment, but she didn’t go beyond the modest budget.

Earlier in the old "Stalin" there was a long dark corridor, from which one could get into the rooms and the kitchen. In the process of redevelopment, it turned out that it was better not to demolish the walls, despite the fact that they are not load-bearing.

Therefore, they were built in the same place, but the entrances were fortified and moved. So the living room became a walk-through, from it you can get into the bedroom and the kitchen.

"Stalinkas" are distinguished by their complex architecture with many niches and ledges. In this case, part of the corridor was attached to the living room, so a library was built into the niche. In another niche, next to the bathroom, a mini-laundry was equipped.

They did not save on finishing materials. For example, the walls of the living room were painted with simple white paint, but a massive board was laid on the floor with a "French herringbone".

The color scheme was made up of a basic combination of black and white, to which accent shades of red and blue were added in different rooms.

The modern classics in this interior “withstood” even the addition of Indian antique tables and a Chinese dresser-console.

The kitchen is dominated by blue colors. The floor here was laid out with a complex and intricate pattern of tiles of different shapes and patterns.

Moving the front door to another wall allowed the installation of a full-fledged corner set and a round dining table for four persons.

Basic furniture, for example, wardrobes in the bedroom and hallway, were purchased from IKEA. By saving on this, the decorator was able to afford more expensive accent items.

This is how brightly upholstered armchairs and ikat curtains appeared in the bedroom seating area. For this, a bay window was used. The decorator admits that it was from the curtains that the design of the entire room began.

For example, the headboard of the bed was decorated with a similar pattern of the same shade. Then there were turquoise sconces.

A fragment of the corridor was left only in the hallway. The main storage system was located here - an entire wall was occupied with built-in wardrobes. A large full-length mirror in an intricate frame works to expand the space.

The relocation of the entrance to the kitchen into the living room made it possible to expand the toilet and fit in it its own storage system for household chemicals and a mini-sink.
