In this article, I have collected 5 more practical ideas for creating garden fences. Such fences can be used both in greenhouses and in the open field.

1. Polycarbonate

If, after creating the greenhouse, you have scraps of polycarbonate, you can use it to fence the beds. When screwed to a metal frame, this material will perform its function perfectly. It is not subject to decay and oxidation. It does not lose its well-groomed appearance for a long time. Strong enough to contain a lot of wet, compacted soil.

The metal frame can be replaced with an analogue of wooden blocks. The cost of the structure will decrease, and it will be much easier to make it.

The disadvantage of polycarbonate fences is fragility and hardness. Cracks and chips may appear in the place of fasteners, and scratches from buckets and garden tools will remain on the walls.

2. From concrete blocks

Recently, concrete blocks have appeared on sale for organizing beds. They allow you to make both paths and fences using one element. The design is durable and practical. She is not afraid of the vagaries of the weather and physical damage. The products do not have an expiration date, so the problem with fences can be solved once and for all.

The disadvantage is the high cost of the blocks, taking into account delivery and installation. It should also be borne in mind that concrete elements are laid on flat, compacted ground. If the area is swampy or has problems with drainage, there will be gaps at the joints that you can easily trip over.

3. Of metal and wood

Fences made of metal sheets and wood combine the advantages of each material. They have no sharp corners and gaps at the joints. They do not rattle when hit by a bucket or garden tool. You can always sit on the edges, lean on your knees or put something. Thanks to the metal, the walls of the structure are very thin, which allows you to increase the space for the tracks.

Since the entire earthen lump is held in a metal box, the service life of such beds is an order of magnitude longer than that of wooden counterparts. In fact, the boards only cover the fence, so they can always be replaced with new ones.

4. Of metal and wicker

Wicker fences are another great combination of metal and natural materials. As in the previous version, the main box is made of stainless steel profiled sheet. He takes over the entire load and is the shape of the future garden. The cladding is played by a wicker made of thin long rods. The main advantage of such fences is their appearance. The metal base is completely invisible, so the structure looks light and fits perfectly into the suburban landscape.

Despite the fact that the box made of stainless steel sheet is quite practical, the cladding begins to fray and crumble over time. If you do not pay enough attention to the fence, it will lose its decorative appearance.

5. Polymer coated sheets

To create the beds, special profiled sheets with a polymer coating are sold. You can buy them in large hardware stores. Fences as a constructor are assembled from elements of different shapes and sizes. Special rubber plugs can be found to insulate sharp edges. Practical and spectacular looking fences are obtained, which are equally well suited for both beds and flower beds.
