This weekend a team came to me to set up a fence. After the first day of work, some of the anchors and pipes were left on the site so that the material would not be transported to the city twice. Nobody began to cover and drag them into the barn, since during these two days we did not go anywhere and were in the country. It was they who served as the beginning of this story.
After the workers left for the city, I started hiding the roses. The first frosts were promised this week, so there was a lot of work in the garden. However, I really didn't have time to do anything. With shouts of "owners" two men came to my site. They looked like guest workers and spoke Russian rather poorly. I immediately called my son and ran to the uninvited guests.
The men put down the bicycles, which they took to my site without asking, and walked towards the materials lying on the ground from the fence.
- Do you need it? One of the men asked.
- Of course you do! - I was indignant. It was clear to everyone that these were parts of an unfinished fence.
- Even trims? - the guest continued to recognize in broken Russian.
- Everything is needed! - I answered.
The guest workers looked around and offered help in digging a vegetable garden. I immediately refused, but the guests continued to insist on their services. To get the workers out of the site easier, I decided to find out how much it would cost to dig two long beds with a total area of 12 square meters.
- Do you have an instrument? One of the workers asked.
- There is. - I replied, although the question seemed strange to me.
- Then we are ready to start right now - continued the guest.
- How much is it? - I insisted.
- Well, it all depends on the complexity... Will 1500 rubles stand you?
The price was higher than I could have thought, but it was even better. Having said that I had no such money with me, I took the guests out into the street and asked them not to come again.
A year earlier, I had already encountered such workers. Then they told me the price of 7 thousand rubles for digging a garden. rubles. And the most interesting thing was that the guests did not even ask about the volume of work.
I don't know if other gardeners use such services, but for me these numbers are too high.
