Hello dear friends!
Today I will show you how we made a "porcelain" vase out of an ordinary glass vase. Note that the porcelain in quotation marks is not real porcelain, but only looks like it.
We have already made a chic glass vase decor, which many readers liked, I will leave a link at the end of the article.
For work, we used:
· Glass vase;
· Nail polish remover;
· Acrylic paint;
· PVA glue or other;
· Self-hardening homemade mass;
· Acrylic lacquer;
· Mold;
· Sponge, brush.
Everything is done so simply that any person can handle it, I'm sure of that.
Step 1.
Wipe the vase with nail polish remover, this is necessary so that the paint adheres better to the glass.
Step 2.
Primed with acrylic paint. It is convenient to apply with a small piece of foam rubber. So there will be no streaks and the layer will be even.
Leave it to dry completely.
Step 3.
Form the mass into a mold. How to make a self-hardening mass read here.
Step 4.
While the mass is damp, glue it to the vase with PVA glue. Leave to dry for 2-3 hours.
Step 5.
We painted the flowers with a soft brush, and the vase with a sponge and left to dry.
Step 6.
The edges of the flowers and the vase were tinted with gold acrylic paint.
Step 7.
After the paint had dried well, the whole vase was covered with acrylic varnish 2 times.
