Many readers love the theme of handmade flower pots from plastic buckets. And today I will show you how I made a very cool flower pot. I myself did not expect that it would turn out so cool and brutal.
For making, I used:
· Plastic bucket;
· Sandpaper, nail polish remover;
· Foamiran (fom) thin and thick;
· Stationery knife, ruler, scissors, brushes;
· PVA glue and hot glue;
Gear printout (you can download it here);
· Self-tapping screws;
Peas;
· Acrylic paints;
· Acrylic lacquer.
There are a lot of materials, but they are all simple and affordable. Moreover, if you love making crafts, then you definitely have most of these materials and tools.
You are unlikely to buy such a pot in a store, it will be exclusive and in a single copy.
Step 1.
I removed the stickers from the plastic bucket, rubbed it with sandpaper and wiped it with nail polish remover.
Step 2.
I cut a thin foamiran into rectangles of different sizes and glued them to a bucket with PVA glue.
If you do not know what foamiran is, type in a search engine, there is a lot of information.
Step 3.
Printed gears, (the template can be downloaded here) cut them out and glued them onto a thick foamiran.
Step 4.
I cut gears out of foamiran, that's how I did it.
Step 5.
I screwed short self-tapping screws into the bucket and glued the gears.
Step 6.
Added a few more pieces of foamiran.
Step 7.
I glued self-tapping screws on top of hot glue.
Step 8.
I cut holes for water in the bottom.
Step 9.
I glued the halves of the peas to create an imitation of rivets.
Step 10.
Painted the pot with brown acrylic paint.
Then I added a little green.
And at the end he painted it with bronze paint.
Step 11.
Covered with acrylic varnish.

Comrades, skeptics, do not write that flowers grow poorly in such pots! All our life, flowers in the house grow ONLY in plastic pots, both purchased and homemade. All flowers feel great, they are full of health and grow by leaps and bounds. You just need to take proper care of them. That's the whole secret.
