Making flower pots with your own hands is a very interesting and rewarding activity. You can make a pot that is one of a kind, and that you can't buy in a store. At the end of the article, I will give several links to the pots that we made from plastic buckets.
And today I will show you what an interesting pot I got from a bucket, foil and some other materials.
It took me for making.
· Plastic paint bucket;
· Emery paper, nail polish remover (or solvent);
· Baking foil (like it's called that);
· PVA construction glue and hot glue;
· Stationery knife, brushes;
· Construction finishing putty;
· Stencil;
· Openwork tape;
· Acrylic paints and acrylic varnish.
Step 1.
I cleaned the plastic bucket with sandpaper and wiped it with nail polish remover. The paper has scratched the plastic and the glue will now adhere well.
Step 2.
I tore off a few pieces from a roll of foil and crumpled them well. Crumple very carefully, as the foil is thin and tears very easily.
Step 3.
I glued the crumpled foil onto the bucket with PVA glue. I used construction glue, it is very thick and glues everything well.
I also pasted the sideboard on top with foil.
The excess foil, after drying, was cut off with a clerical knife.
This is how it happened.
Step 4.
I spread a little building putty for finishing work, added a little PVA glue to it, for greater strength. I put putty through a stencil on a piece of crumpled foil.
While the putty is damp and plastic, I glued this piece of foil onto a bucket and left it to dry for a couple of hours.
Step 5.
I glued an openwork tape with hot glue to the rim of the bucket.
Step 6.
In the bottom of the bucket, I cut holes with a clerical knife to drain the water.
Step 7.
I painted the pot with black acrylic paint in 2 layers.
Then he painted it with bronze paint.
Step 8.
Covered with acrylic varnish for 2 layers with an interval of 1 hour to dry.
The pot is ready.
I want to note that in plastic pots, both purchased and homemade, the plants feel great and grow very well. I say this not from scratch, but from my own experience. The main thing is to take care of flowers correctly and well and then they will delight you with good growth!
