I printed a textured spatula and tested it in action. Show me what I did

Hello dear friends and guests of the channel!

Those who constantly read and watch my channel know that I recently received a package with a 3d printer. And now I am learning to work on it and master this tool.

The other day I printed a textured spatula to create wood texture from paint and putty. Immediately I decided to try it out and see what the result would be.

The spatula took a little over 3 hours to print while I was doing my other business. It consists of 2 parts, this is a work surface and a handle. I found a 3d model on the Internet, since I myself have not yet learned how to create my own.

I decided to try the spatula on pieces of drywall and fiberboard. I will make a texture from paint and ordinary plaster putty.

First I primed the pieces of cardboard well and left them to dry.

One of the pieces was painted with white acrylic paint.

When the white was dry, I applied the brown one with a roller and immediately went over with a spatula.

We got this texture.

And here is the result with paint on fiberboard.

On the second piece of drywall, putty putty with a layer of about 2 mm and ran with a spatula.

Here is the result.

In general, with putty, a very believable texture of untreated wood is obtained. If the putty is sanded a little and painted correctly, then it will not be distinguished from real boards. But that's history for another article.

I worked with such a spatula for the first time, and immediately it turned out well, but not perfect. Still, you need to get a little hand and get used to this tool, and then it will be possible to "paint" the texture on large areas.

In our city, on the website of ads, I saw such a spatula at a price of 550 rubles, on Aliexpress it costs around 350 rubles. My spatula cost was only 55 rubles. Plus the cheap cost, I can print any size I want.

I liked working with a spatula, I will fill my hand and try on the wall. I will definitely write an article later and share with you what I did. At the same time I will practice painting under a tree.
