Repairing the sink drain. I learned a lot about the purchase of a siphon and sewer pipes. :)
15 years ago, I installed a small washbasin in the toilet (https://ammo1.livejournal.com/6662.html). It is very convenient and I am sure that every uncombined bathroom should have the same.
I drained this washbasin using a washing machine hose (it goes along with the water pipes through a 60x60 mm cable duct). For fifteen years, the hose has become clogged so that no chemical means for cleaning the pipes has helped. I tried to disassemble the siphon in order to flush it, but it turned out that all the collapsible connections for fifteen years have become non-separable and even the screw that attaches the siphon to the sink through the drain grate, unscrew impossible. Alas, the siphon moved from its place and began to leak, so I had to saw it and break it to pieces.
I decided that now I will make a drain from a normal thin 32 mm sewer pipe.
I went to the nearest big household and was surprised that they tried to sell me a siphon of an unknown manufacturer with a drain of 32 mm for 560 rubles, and a two-meter sewer pipe for 190 rubles. The toad strangled, I had to return with nothing and gather in Leroy Merlin.
Considering the fact that out of three dozen siphons in the household, there was only one with a drain of 32 mm, I decided to see in advance how it was with them in Leroy. But in no way! No, no. Only 40 mm. More precisely, there was one for 214 rubles, but not in the form of a complete set, but only the siphon itself (without the grill, the part that inserted into the drain hole of the sink and without a tube or corrugation at the outlet) and another one for 328 rubles without anything for exit.
For the sake of interest, I looked to see if there were any siphons in Ozone. I immediately found exactly what was needed for 246 rubles. It is called Viega 103927. The most amazing thing is that it is made in Germany. Accordingly, perfect quality, everything is smooth, no burrs. I never thought that a siphon made in Germany could be sold for 246 rubles.
I thought, maybe I'll buy pipes there and don't have to drag the one and a half meter "shaft" from Leroy. It turned out that the pipes and corners in Ozone cost some wild money: an ordinary corner of 155 rubles (in Leroy 24 r), a pipe 32 mm 25 cm 182 rubles (in Leroy 27 rubles), a pipe 32 mm 1.5 m 282 rubles (in Leroy 80 rubles).
Then I discovered that in Leroy there is the same siphon for 20 rubles cheaper, but not in stores, but marked "only on the Internet." With free self-pickup, including from CDEK near my house. I was delighted and decided that I would also order all the pipes with self-delivery. And fig! Self-pickup of what is in stores was possible only from a store in Zhukovsky. As it turned out later, if the cart contains at least one product that is available only in one store, pickup is shown only from that store. And only small goods are delivered to CDEK (for example, a long sewer pipe is not allowed).
Yesterday I went to Leroy Merlin ZIL and found that there were no pipes of 32 mm. Neither 1.5 m, nor 2 m, nor 1 m, nor 50 cm. Only very short and all sorts of corners. I looked at the presence of siphons on the site, but it did not occur to me to see the presence of pipes - they seem to always be there. But in vain.
I bought out of grief a two-meter 32 mm PVC pipe for electrical wiring for 61 rubles.
With the help of a repair sleeve for 37 rubles, the electric pipe turned into a sewer pipe. :)
Morality:
1. There are many unexpected things in Ozone, but prices are not always adequate. If you need something and the Ozone delivery point is nearby, check to see if it is there and is cheaper than in other places (there, I found dried mango there yesterday, cheaper than the Vietnamese in the Hanoi-Moscow shopping center).
2. If you are going to Leroy for something you need, check on the website to see if it is available in this store.
3. From Leroy Merlin, you can now order for 1 ruble delivery to any CDEK point, but it looks like only small and light goods.
4. With the help of a repair sleeve, a sewer pipe can be made from a wiring pipe. :)
