There are always many comments after the articles, where people also share their experiences and give advice. But if you read all these comments, then they all have a common theme.
There is one group of people who always work as a tool with sparks from themselves, and the other only with sparks to themselves. And there is no agreement in friends! Whatever new topic we raise, these disputes are always present in the comments.
These are my photos from work. Here I work with a large grinder with a disc with a diameter of 230 mm. As you understand, I belong to the company that saw only sparks to themselves.
And these are pictures of work with a small grinder with a disc with a diameter of 125 mm. As well as with a large grinder, only sparks on yourself.
It is more convenient for me, I initially started my acquaintance with this instrument in this particular mode of disk rotation. I believe that this method is much safer than sparks from yourself, when the disc bites, the instrument seeks to jump from you, and not to you.
But all these arguments have already been analyzed along and across both in the articles and in the comments. But something else is very interesting.
After reading hundreds of comments with these disputes, I thought that about half of people work with sparks from themselves, and the other sparks to themselves.
Therefore, an interest arose to understand more accurately and to conduct some kind of survey, where many masters would express their opinion on how they work. Collect statistics, so to speak. And, everything worked out, the answers of almost 15 thousand people were collected.

The question of the form with the survey was attended by 14478 people, as the population of a small village!
