Designer Irina Bebeshina designed a 19 m² studio for a young man - a mathematician. The client wanted to bring a 1960s aesthetic to the interior. The gray-olive color scheme was also determined by the client.
The studio was rented out with finished finishing, but it did not correspond to the planned future interior. I had to repaint the walls, replace the tiles in the hallway and bathroom. Only the flooring in the room remained unchanged - laminate.
Living room
In the decoration of the living room, two shades of green have been combined. They interact with each other in the TV zone. A hanging TV stand saves space and makes cleaning easier.
The sofa simultaneously plays the role of a relaxation area and a sleeping place. The black-and-white poster of the film "July Rain" on the wall behind it became the starting point for creating the interior. It was the owner who brought it to the meeting with the designer to describe the desired project.
Kitchen
Corner set was made to order. Wall cabinets were supplemented with deep mezzanines level with the pencil case, where the refrigerator was hidden. Thus, it was possible to increase the amount of storage space. Wooden facades help smooth out the severity of other textures - concrete and rusted metal on the apron.
The dining group was taken closer to the living room. The dining table was equipped with vintage chairs from the Soviet period, which is in line with the designated concept.
Hallway
The hallway houses the main storage system - a tall black wardrobe. Another shallow closet was placed behind a partition in the room. Also, at the entrance, we provided hooks for clothes and a shoe rack, which can play the role of a banquet.
Bathroom
On the walls in the bathroom, two types of tiles and paint on the ceiling were combined. Black elements - plumbing, shower profiles and even a painting behind the sanitary ware - add contrast.
In addition to the central light, we have provided geometric suspensions near the mirror.
