Regardless of the purpose for which you will germinate the beans - for further planting in the soil or for use in food - you need to prepare the seed.

Sort the beans, removing damaged and shriveled ones, soak in water. This method is suitable for sprouting the product to be eaten.

For planting in the ground, fill the beans with hot manganese solution. Plant the treated seeds immediately in the ground, and pour the solution into the ground.

Not all varieties of beans can be grown to eat the sprouts. For these purposes, use black beans, chickpeas, adzuki, pinto.

In addition, some beans should not be eaten raw. This should be taken into account when planning bean germination.

It is not recommended to use soy sprouts, as well as red beans, in food. Because they contain toxic substances.

If you want to grow beans and plan to germinate them at home, then use this method:

  1. Moisten a piece of material.
  2. Spread the beans on the fabric.
  3. Cover with another piece of material.
  4. Moisten the fabric constantly.
  5. To prevent mold from forming on the beans, wash them twice a day.
  6. As soon as sprouts appear, plant the beans in the garden.

For food use

The principle of germination is identical, as for growing seedlings, only the technology is slightly different. Cover a small container with holes with gauze, place the seeds on top, cover with a moistened flap. Place the container in a deeper container. Place the structure in a warm, well-lit place. Water the products twice a day with warm water, drain the liquid from the lower bowl.

After two days, sprouts appear, but they can not yet be eaten. You need to wait for the first leaves to appear, and then the product can be used for food. This deadline is approximately five days later.

Further care

Sprouted sprouts should be eaten immediately, as the product quickly loses its nutritional properties. If the beans will be grown for seedlings, they will require further care. First of all, you need to properly water. The culture is moisture-loving, but it is necessary to ensure that moisture does not get on the leaves. It is necessary to carry out watering under the root as necessary and preferably in the morning.

Stop watering when the second pair of leaves appears and resume before flowering.

As soon as the seedlings get stronger, set the pegs nearby and direct the seedlings to them.

Proper use of sprouted beans

A germinated product cannot be stored for future use. It is recommended to prepare salads from young sprouts. For two days, you can stock up on the product by putting it in a closed container and placing it in the refrigerator. Peel and wash the sprouts before eating.
