Zhiguli is one of the most popular domestic automobile manufacturers. It goes without saying that many people know about the striking similarity of the models of the Soviet period with FIAT cars, which sold the license for production to the USSR. However, this does not save many ordinary people from a fit of great surprise if they see seemingly familiar cars from the VAZ abroad, and the emblem on them is foreign. Your attention to the four cars of foreign production, which have a striking resemblance to the "Zhiguli".
1. FIAT 124 Special
At first glance, you might think that this is the famous "three-ruble note" - VAZ-2103, which in the late seventies of the last century bore the proud status of the most prestigious version of the "Lada". But in reality, this car is a FIAT 124 model, in a more modernized version, known as Special. Of the bright features of this car, one can single out twin headlights, a more powerful 1.4-liter engine compared to the standard modification.
2. Kia
It's hard to believe, but in this case we are talking not just about a car that only looks like a Zhiguli, but also about a car that was created, oddly enough, in South Korea. This model was indeed produced by the Kia concern, and it was the first passenger model of the South Korean brand, although it was also a licensed copy of the same FIAT 124. But their cooperation with Western automakers did not end there: in different years they made the Optima, Sorento and Stinger models.

3. FIAT 125p
Here, the vast majority of domestic inhabitants at first sight recognize the legendary Soviet "six". But the thing is, it's not her. In reality, this car is a foreign model FIAT 125p, and not of Italian production. This is hinted at by the presence of the letter p in the car index, which indicates Poland as the country of manufacture.
4. Porsche
Perhaps the least similar, but at the same time a very unexpected car, similar to the VAZ. It would seem that if the word Lada was placed on the radiator grill of this car, then this is just a little-known modification of the Soviet car. However, in reality this is not entirely true. From the first time it is hard to believe that such a car is the brainchild of Porsche, but it really is. And the situation was as follows: in the second half of the seventies, the German company expressed a personal initiative to offer AvtoVAZ its version of restyling the “penny”. As a result, these attempts did not lead to anything, but the similarity of the Western version of Lada with domestic ones still remained.
