Rotterdam (Netherlands) There was an amazing house. From the street it looks pretty dull, but if you look on the courtyard side, the view of it changed dramatically. Original curves, huge transparent windows from floor to ceiling - all this makes the house dissimilar to any other structure.

Architectural studio MVRDV has completed construction of a cottage casa Kwantes. His main idea implies "deceptive closeness." In this project, the designers tried to combine open and closed, flat and curved, flexible and rigid.

This private house is located in the Rotterdam (Netherlands). The outside looks like a dull rectangular "box", but the back part of it, facing the courtyard, gently curves around the olive tree, recalling the modernist style of the 1930s.

Cottage area of ​​480 sq. meters built entirely of white brick with a minimum of windows. Entrance to the building and completely hidden in a secret niche.

Passing along the wood-paneled hall, the visitor enters a long corridor. From there, stunning views: Through the curved windows in height from floor to ceiling visible patio with olive tree in the center.

The owners of the house took care of sustainability of their homes. Geothermal pump under the house and solar batteries on the roof completely provide home energy.
