In this article I would like to share with you how to do the trench for the foundation of his future attic houses with a total area of 160 square meters!
So, after marking the site development corners of the building was completed, tested and verified the diagonal, it is time for the trench device for strip foundation of his house.
In order to know the width of the trench - to demand calculation.
By the time the designer has already collected a load of the building (the weight of the foundation, walls, floors, roofs, as well as the maximum wind and snow load in the region), and the obtained results of the calculated bearing area on the mainland soil foundation for all the external walls and internal carrier walls.
According to the results of calculations, the width of the belt for supporting the building on the ground was as follows:
- for all external walls: 700 mm;
- internal load-bearing wall: 1000 mm.
In order not to make the fill foundation in several stages, and not to produce once again work with the collection / analysis of formwork, pouring concrete I took a decision in the excavated pit, where the formwork will be a wall of ground. Naturally, as the soil - clay, it is possible to create a trapezoid shape and not crumble to comply with the requirements of supporting the foundation at the base area.
When work that does not interfere underfoot marking fishing line, it can be removed, but only after how it will be filmed throughout the length of a bayonet fertile soil and will clearly outline the future trench.
Once the trench is dug below the frost line (to Rostov-on-Don is a value in the range of 100 cm.), I made a cropping walls (extension bottom portion) to increase the bearing area of the foundation according to the design documentation (cm. Fig.).
The foundation decided to fill in one level with ground cover, so more high formwork I did not install and secured inch board height 10 cm. Both sides of the trench to prevent the spill of the concrete mix at the construction work, which is read in next article.
