Good afternoon, dear guests and subscribers of my channel!

And what is the need for water extraction in the winter?

In winter, residents of a private house sometimes need water to rinse their hands after dirty work, wash their dog, car, or tools / garden tools. I think no one likes to run through the whole house with buckets of water. In addition, with frequent temperature changes from + to - and from - to +, dirt and slush from the car is formed on the paving slabs, which you also want to remove.

Despite the fact that the market offers ready-made solutions for ice-free taps, in this article, I will give a few installation schemes for conventional shut-off valves, and these schemes will relieve the pipeline from ice plugs and sticking taps in winter.

To begin with, I want to dwell on a ready-made solution that the market offers and analyze the principle of its operation. So, anti-freeze tap:

The "trick" is that the shut-off element itself is located inside a warm room, and the flow control is placed outside, and therefore there is no water freezing in the product body.

Such a solution is expensive, and the price increases with the length of the pipe. The cost for a more or less high-quality product starts from 2,000 rubles. To carry out a conclusion to the street with a wall thickness of half a meter, take out and give 8,000 - 10,000 rubles.

As a replacement for such a crane, there are 3 schemes for installing conventional valves that will help save your budget.

So, scheme number 1 - Two ball valves:

One is located in a warm area, the other is outside. Usually, the pipe in the wall is made of polypropylene to exclude a cold bridge. Laying is done with a slight slope to the street. Before starting the water intake, the street tap is locked, and the indoor tap is opened. Now you can use the water for its intended purpose. After finishing the water procedures :-) the indoor tap is locked, and the outdoor tap is opened to drain the rest of the water.

Of course, water can linger in the street tap, then this scheme can be improved and a tap with a squeegee (American) installed. Then, after use, it is enough to unscrew the armature by hand and take it to a warm room.

If you don't mind 40 kW per hour, then the design can be combined with a heating cable inside the thermal insulation:

Scheme No. 2 - Rod extension:

This scheme completely repeats the design of the market solution, the stock is taken out into the street.

It is extended with a 6-8 mm hairpin. I have come across completely collective farm (but neatly made) options when the lengthening is performed by PPR pipe: grooves are cut from the end of the pipe, which fit flush with the crane handle (with "butterfly").

Scheme No. 3 - Solenoid valve

This scheme is similar to the previous one, only the solenoid valve acts as a shut-off element. EMC is a device that allows you to shut off the flow remotely, for which a cable is laid to a control unit located on the street.

+ Bonus: Scheme No. 4 - Flexible eyeliner

A hose is forwarded from the tap. Why a bonus? In this case, the adjustment does not take place from the street, therefore this scheme is not very convenient, but perhaps it will help someone or lead someone to the right idea when arranging a street water intake!

After use, the hole is closed with a plug.

The main rule when organizing a water supply system in winter: ensure a slope towards the street so that water after use, glass from all elements of the system.

I really hope that this article was useful to you!
