Zucchini in the garden will grow better and faster if they are properly watered. The liquid should be applied under the root system, making sure that no water gets on the leaves.
It is recommended to use a watering can for the procedure. When watering with a hose, the water jet can erode the soil and expose the roots of the plants, adversely affecting the ripening of the fruit.
The ovary on the plants will start to rot if you water them with cold water. To avoid rotting, you need to use water that is 2-4 ° C higher than that of the soil.
Before the start of fruiting, the bushes should be watered no more than 1 time per week. When fruits begin to appear on them, it is recommended to increase the number of procedures by 2-3 times. Before harvesting, the frequency of watering is reduced.
Before the ovaries appear, the plants are watered at the rate of 10 liters per 1 m². During fruiting, the volume of water is increased to 12 liters per 1 m² at a frequency of watering at least 2 times a week. In extreme heat, up to 15-20 liters of water are poured onto the same area of the garden.

Zucchini care in the open field requires careful, especially when it comes to loosening the soil. The root system of plants consists of thin shoots located just below the surface, so you need to dig up the ground near them to a shallow depth, being careful. For this reason, some gardeners refuse to loosen in favor of mulching the soil with humus and peat. This is done before the ovaries appear.

Fertilization

Before the appearance of peduncles, the soil is shed with a means for which they take:
- nitrophosphate - 1 tbsp. l .;
- mullein - 500 ml;
- water - 10 liters.
Instead, you can use mullein infusion (for 500 ml of fertilizer, 5 liters of water). Sometimes gardeners use an infusion of weeds that has begun to ferment for these purposes.
During the flowering period, the beds are watered with mineral dressing, consisting of 200 g of ash and 10 liters of water. 1 m² will require 5 liters of solution.
After the appearance of the fruits, the soil is spilled with a means for which you will need:
- water - 10 l;
- potassium sulfate, superphosphate and urea - 1 tbsp. l.
This volume is enough to process a plot of 3-4 m². Zucchini should be removed from the beds when they are 25 cm long. With proper care, waiting for a good harvest will not be difficult.
