- dry or waterlogged indoor air.
The lack of comfortable conditions for keeping the ficus and poor care for it inevitably provoke the incidence of flower disease. With a deterioration in appearance, it signals the owner of the problem. If you do not take resuscitation measures, the plant will die.
If the leaves fall off strongly, then the ficus should be sprayed with "Epin". It is possible to restore the viability of the plant if the cause of the disease of the plant is established. Sometimes creating favorable conditions helps to restore the healthy appearance of the rubber.
The tree loves:
- scattered rays of the sun;
- moderate watering;
- air humidity - from 50 to 70%;

The presence of small light lumps on the roots is a sign of parasitic infection. In this case, the ficus root system is treated:
- insecticides,
- disinfectants.
The best option is the use of a weak solution of potassium permanganate.
Ficus wilting can also cause strong root growth. In this case, transplanting into a large container 2-3 cm in diameter will help. After transplanting, the plant is watered two days later. Top dressing will be needed only after a month (after the ficus takes root in a new pot).
In autumn, the loss of foliage by a tree by 20% is the norm.
Abundant feeding of a weakened plant with the aim of its quick resuscitation is a mistake. In this state, the ficus will not be able to assimilate all the nutrients from the mineral fertilizer. Top dressing will only harm him.
When identifying the problem of root decay, proceed as follows:
- diseased roots are removed;
- cut sites are treated with wood ash.
After transplanting, a little fertilizer is applied, the plant is shaded, and watering is adjusted. The tree will come to life after a couple of weeks, give new leaves.
As practice shows, it is possible to return a healthy and beautiful appearance to a ficus, even if it is in the most neglected state. But in order not to bring the ficus to total leaf fall and death, it should be provided with proper care.
