"Five" of Soviet cars, which were cursed by domestic drivers.

The Soviet auto industry was not the best in the world, but this does not at all negate the fact that the domestic industry presented the country with many reliable, hardy cars. Among them were very good ones. However, where there are ups, there are always downs. Or in any case "undershoots" to the final goal. It's time to recall the least successful Soviet cars, which at the same time went into series.

1. AZLK-2141 "Moskvich"

Produced from 1986 to 1998, the Moskvich-2141 became a really gray car. On the one hand, the car was not that bad. On the other hand, he could not stand out with anything really good. Perhaps the reason for this lies in the fact that the 2141st was based on a foreign car. Many solutions implemented in the car were not typical for the domestic car industry. Worst of all, the car rotted mercilessly. The quality of the components also left much to be desired.

2. KAZ-605 "Kolkhida"

It will be difficult to find a home-made truck tractor, about which as many malicious sayings and proverbs would be invented as about "Colchis". The most widespread and eloquent of them sounds like "The pride of Georgia - Russia's tears". The main problem of this car was the frankly low build quality, as well as the use of not the best power unit. Soviet drivers who had to drive the Kolkhida gloatingly joked that KAZ drives only downhill and not loaded.

3. ZAZ-968 "Zaporozhets"

Not that I wanted to attack the pride of the mass domestic auto industry, but still you need to be frank. ZAZ-968 was far from the highest quality car, although the contribution of the creators of this model to the development of the entire domestic industry cannot be underestimated. The steering wheel of the 968 was often backlash, the brakes periodically disappeared, and the engine kept overheating and gushing oil. It is especially funny that even all of the above did not prevent Soviet citizens from carrying 8 bags of potatoes from their dachas.

4. ErAZ-762

It is a rare case when one can really be ashamed of the creation of the domestic auto industry. Against the backdrop of the ErAZ-762 van, Kolkhida is a work of engineering art. These vans were made at factories in Armenia, but the design of the car has Latvian roots. The car was very uncomfortable and lacking in comfort. The worst thing about it was the build quality. In 762, literally everything that could break (and sometimes what, it would seem, could not!) Broke down. Moreover, the breakdowns were not an event, but a routine.

5. UAZ-452

This legendary Soviet car is the best demonstration of the struggle of opposites in the world. On the one hand, the UAZ-452 still has no analogues, it will go where others will not pass, it will work in conditions where other cars will simply stop. At the same time, the car has a very weak "razdatka", which can start to junk after a miserable 2500 km of run. The quality of the metal in the 452 is poor. In some gaps, you can easily stick your finger, if not your palm. And most importantly, the UAZ-452 is another antonym to the word “comfort”.
