The power outlet can fall out of the socket for many reasons, the main of which are improper fastening, lack of a plastic case, or due to violations of operating rules. A similar situation arises with any other installation product (switch, for example) since the method of their fastening is absolutely the same. Having figured out what to do in this case, the user will master the techniques for eliminating a universal malfunction.

Causes of the problem

Before starting the restoration work, it is important not to forget to completely relieve stress from the room or from the entire apartment (photo below).

After that, you can begin to find out the reason for the loosening of the fastening of the socket product and its falling out of the seat. To do this, you need to completely remove it from the nest and make a visual inspection of the product.

In this case, the following options are possible:

  • The legs of the holding mechanism are strongly deformed from frequent tightening of the mount and do not create the required holding force.
  • instagram viewer
  • The corrugated surfaces in the plastic cup are worn out and do not provide the required engagement.
  • The diameter of the socket is larger than the socket housing.
  • An option is not excluded when a metal glass of an old design is installed in the wall niche, in which the legs simply rest against the concrete walls.
  • It is also possible that there is no glass (socket) in the niche at all and the legs are simply randomly attached to the roughness of concrete surfaces.

In all the cases considered, when even a slight force is applied (pulling out the plug, for example), the socket completely falls out of the socket, as shown in the photo below.

For each of the above reasons, it is possible to choose its own option for restoring the fastening. So, in the first case, it is enough to simply give the legs their original shape and try to fix the body in the desired position. When the walls of a plastic glass are worn out or if its size does not correspond to the diameter of the case, the easiest way is to completely change the socket.

In the case when their diameters do not coincide, and a new socket is not available, the problem can be solved in one of the following ways:

  • First, place rubber pads under the stop points to compensate for unnecessary gaps.
  • Secondly, bend the legs slightly with pliers, which will expand the stop area.

In panel houses with old aluminum wiring, wiring products are poorly attached to the wall due to the fact that they were mounted in a metal glass or without it at all.

In this case, the only correct solution is to dismantle the old socket box and install in its place a new plastic one, the size corresponding to the dimensions of the socket. After fixing the glass in the wall niche and fixing the rosette product in it, it takes the form shown in the photo below.
